Welcome to our department’s EDI webpage. I am honored to serve as the inaugural Associate Chair of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. Over the past few months, it has been a privilege to work alongside our dedicated team of professionals in the faculty of health sciences and the university at large. I have witnessed the commitment of the EDI IR community to fostering a culture of inclusivity and equity within the faculty.

In this role, my focus is to champion initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our department’s activities. We are dedicated to creating an environment that not only values and celebrates the differences among our faculty, staff, and students but also actively seeks to address and eliminate disparities in healthcare access and outcomes.

As a department we are committed to cultivating a learning environment that is not only diverse but also inclusive, where every individual feels valued and has the opportunity to thrive. We will continue to engage in meaningful conversations, implement inclusive policies, and provide ongoing training to ensure that our department remains at the forefront of promoting equity in obstetrics and gynecology.

As we move forward, I am eager to collaborate with our stakeholders, including faculty, students, and community partners, to further enhance our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Together, we can create a healthcare environment that is truly reflective of the rich diversity of our community and ensures equitable access to high-quality care for all.
