LEAVES OF ABSENCE

From time to time, employees require personal or parental leaves of absence. Consult with the department human resources manager concerning your entitlement and the Request for Leave of Absence form (PDF).


COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS AND LABOUR RELATIONS

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your employment, you may consult with Human Resources or union representation. You may also benefit from personally reviewing the Collective Agreements and Labour Relations policies.


TUITION ASSISTANCE

McMaster University offers tuition assistance to eligible staff and their dependents. Please refer to the applicable policy for more information:


PAYROLL

McMaster University processes payroll on a bi-weekly schedule by direct deposit to the bank account you have provided to the payroll department. Faculty and staff are paid on opposite Fridays. All employees of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology are required to submit timesheets to the human resources manager every second Thursday by noon.

Timesheets are used for processing of staff payroll and to maintain accurate attendance record keeping. Please use this timesheet template (XLS).

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) provides McMaster University with the necessary schedules for deductions regarding Canada Pension Plan, Employment Insurance and Income Tax. Information regarding schedules for deductions from your pay (PDF).
